This is gonna be your small simple guide on blogging. First of all, before you can start on blogging you need to know what a blog is. Blog is short for a “weblog” and people all around the world has been blogging or weblogging. Some do it for their personal use and some for their business. Personal uses are usually their journals or diary of what just happened in their day or week. Logging into their personal online journal to note how they felt of whatever event that just happened, what kind of thoughts of the matter and commenting the actions of others. Whereas a business blog, would be of course about the business they run on. It can be about how a business is turning into these days, whatever events has occurred or even what events that is going to happen in the near future. Now usually the purpose of a business blog is to advertise their site or business so people can get closer or in-depth of the business.

Now this guide will cover some such as how to start a blog, how to keep updates on a blog, what you can do with it, etc. So let us start!

Get an idea: Ideas can come in any field or form. And these ideas must be something realistically possible to make and achieve. For example, cooking recipes is a sufficient and realistic idea to be your blog title and content. You can teach or share or learn more cooking recipes through your blog. Whatever your idea is, as long as it’s doable, you can start a blog.

Got no idea? : You won’t really need an idea; you can just blog as you go along. Blog as a personal diary or a journal of your efforts is just as fine.

Open a free blog site: Any will do. But most of the famous blogging services are WordPress and Blogger. These sites provide all the necessary blogging tools for every blogger’s needs.

Or launch paid blog site: Though this is not recommended for those who are new to blogging but it is the next step after being a successful blogger for at least 6 months.

Update your blog: Now this is crucial as you always want your readers to keep reading for more. It’s like you are providing a series of dramatic episodes for those people who want to know what would happen to you or your business. Sometimes it is ok to provide a “to be continued…” feeling and ending of your blog posts, giving your readers that desire and interest to know what is going to happen afterwards. But if that’s not the case, you can always just do it normally like keeping updates of your interests/hobbies/new things that you have learned on that day. And it doesn’t have to be on daily basis, it can be a few days a week update.

What else can you do with your blog to make it look better? : There are all kinds of stuff you can do with your blog. You can post videos, pictures, audio recordings, music, art and sketches to spice up your blog giving your readers the interested tweaks and feeling that your site is always happening and cannot wait for your next tweak that would make your reader smile. Also if you wanna do this for a living, there are ways to monetize your blog. One of them is Google AdSense. Since Blogger has been bought by Google, you can make money out of it too.
