affiliate-marketing-overviewMajority of the webmasters look forward to earn money from their precious blogs and websites. There is no reason why they shouldn’t because they would have spent countless hours of work to bring in good content on their website. It’s never been easy to maintain a website and run it successfully for a long time. So people tend to monetize their websites through different platforms.

Mainly people go either for Adsense or Affiliate marketing as a source of income. I wouldn’t really be getting into the notion of how both work. But would definitely want to generalize and help you understand more about it.

Adsense as you might know is an advertising agency from the house of Google. You might as well know that since it’s the best out there in this category of ppc (Pay per click) monetization. The only major difference between a ppc and affiliate monetization methods is that both work on a predefined advertising code which is of course customizable in most of the cases. So you need to place it on your website or blog and that would generate into a text based or image advertisement accordingly.

But the edge over affiliate advertisements is that the Adsense advertisement rotates each time you refresh the page. So increases the chances of more advertisement being displayed so ultimately more clicks. So is that at all you may ask. No it isn’t because I haven’t mentioned anything about the money at all.

So you would be getting higher number of clicks that wouldn’t really mean you would earn tons together from the clicks. Because in pay per click fetches up to 2$ on an average.  So there is no way you’ll make 100’s of dollars from a certain number of clicks per day. This is where Affiliate marketing has the edge over Adsense simply because even the least paying affiliate campaign, let’s say some hosting company signup fetches you more than 20$. So if it’s up to you in fact what suits you the best. You can try a combination of both and see the results.
