When I setup a Wordpress blog the first thing I would do is start installing the important plugins. I have my own set of favourite plugins that I always install on all of my blogs. I will be posting a series of individual posts for you to understand the importance of using certain plugins.

And am quite sure many of you are already using most of the plugins but I will still brief out few important points in favor of the new wordpress blog users.

To begin with I would want to introduce to you to ‘All in One SEO pack’ by Semperfi Web Design.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a term used by the website owners to signify the customization done to a blog in favour of a better search engine results from Google, Bing etc.

Following are some of the steps that would come in handy while you are working with the All in One SEO pack. For your reference I will post a screenshot of the settings page for this blog:

1) Home Title: This is the field where you type in exactly what you want the blog title to be. You can also notice at the top of the screen of your browser. “Blog With Me – iBlogMaster.com” would be the text that you would see at the blue coloured border if you are on the Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

Please switch to Firefox and encourage others as well if you are still stuck with IE6. It’s for your own security.

2) Home Description: This would be the sentence or phrase that would appear in search engines for your website result:

3) Home Keywords: Jot down all the major keywords that symbolizes your homepage content. Be careful not stuff in useless keywords as Google and other search engines may not like it.

Now comes the most important part of utilizing the actual potential of the famous SEO plugin:

As you can see I have specified the title, keywords related to a single topic. You can find that option if you select “Add New Post” from the wordpress Dashboard. Scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see the following settings.

It is very important for your blog posts to be easily indexed by the search engines and also rate better on the search results for a given keyword related to the topic. Who would not want their topic to rate higher and be heard on the world wide web ?

So this is your easy gateway to get more number of unique visitors everyday from your blog posts.

Note: The ALL in One SEO posts settings title over rides the actual title that you would specify for a given post. Which is to your advantage since you can explore more keywords.
